Two Maine Chapter Vehicles Displayed at the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival Concours d' Elegance
2017 Hilton Head Island South Carolina; November 4th & 5th
Volvo Cars of North America extended an invitation to a couple of our Maine Chapter members to display two of their vehicles. A rare 1957 Sport P1900 owned by Alan & Bethany Prosser of Alan Auto Volvo Service and a (Safari Yellow) 1971 142S owned by Joseph & Donna Kendall. The vehicles were picked up by a New England based auto transport company supplied by VCNA on Oct 31st in Portland Maine and arrived on Hilton Head Island Nov 2nd. They were prominently shown at the center point of the VCNA display held at the Port Royal Golf Course during the two day event. Volvo, Porsche, BMW, Lexus and Cadillac were the 5 automobile manufacturers sponsoring the event and all offered test drives of their vehicles. The weather for the two day event was perfect, mid 70s sunny and simply wonderful. Many of the vehicles were genuinely spectacular and more to the point, an experience that won't be forgotten!!
