The Car Show - Saturday Morning

Maine VCOA Chapter at Stratton 2018

The Autocross - Saturday Afternoon

The Autocross was held at 1 PM in a large overflow parking area just "down the street" from the Welcome Center. The course was set up by a Mini Cooper group  as they were also holding a "Mini" meet at Stratton Mt. None the less New Hampshire Chapter member David Burnham (Red 142GT) placed second overall and first in "our class" - non Mini.... Congrats David!!

Dinners, Lunches, Brunches & Speakers

From the time we arrived Friday night until Sunday Morning we were entertained with an auction, a car show, an autocross or a bus trip to Weston and fed pretty much like kings with two great dinners, a lunch and a Sunday Brunch. There were guest speakers at both dinners, apologize as we only have a pic of one of the speakers, Volvo Cars USA Vice President Customer Services Scott Doering. For those of you who either know or have met, he's a very personable and interesting gentleman who gave a great talk about Volvo USA and its direction since it's inception here and for the future, that most of us found interesting to say the least!!

Sunday - it was over all too quickly

Sunday went by in mere moments as brunch was at 9 AM and check out was 11 AM.  After brunch the "heavy hearted " task of say goodbye to the many new acquaintances and old friends became all consuming.  It seemed a blur as we'd arrived on Friday, we were back at the "Welcome Center" turning in our "keys" and anticipating the journey home albeit much too quickly. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the 35th Anniversary meet and she's even hinted (as she's retiring) at the possibility of going to next years National Meet!!!
